Still Life

Objects have a long “life”. They sometimes work as concrete, sacred symbols or taboos. As gifts, they are used to maintain relationships between people. In the form of food, they bring people together. Some everyday objects exist as things only in the moment they are fulfilling their purpose.

Folded drapery is something that I have used for building dreamlike landscapes. It continues in every direction and it comes close to the spectator. In my later work, I have combined it with representations of bodies. It is the only artificial object that I still draw.web_151127_AinoK-236
